Our partners and business supporters

Support of the Lily Calvert Fund

Our Foundation and the work we do would not be possible without the generous support of our business partners, community donors and friends and family who work tirelessly to support our voluntary service. We are honoured to be supported by several businesses who support our programs. These include ongoing support from major partners listed below, as well as one off support for fund raising events and programs from multiple businesses across the country. We are incredibly humbled and grateful for your on going support.

The Lily Calvert Music Therapy Kits with

The Lily Calvert Music Therapy Kits, in partnership with Tiny Tones Musical Instruments, donates Music Therapy Kits national wide across  paediatric palliative care programs including The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Monash Children’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital, Bear Cottage Hospice, and Very Special Kids Hospice.

Launched in November 2020, the program is designed to spark joy in music and encourage families in paediatric palliative care to explore music therapy. With the help of your generous support and a partnership with Tiny Tones Musical Instruments, (an Australian business selling quality and sustainable instruments), the LCMT Kits include a selection of Lily’s favourite instruments and songs, including sustainable wooden percussion instruments that are appropriate for young children of all abilities.

They have been selected to be useful in music therapy settings for ages 0-6, and children will be given a kit to keep and take home.  We are also delighted that well known comedian and children’s musician, Jimmy Rees (of Giggle and Hoot), has partnered with us to curate a playlist of songs that will be included in the kits and accessible via a scanned QR code. Tiny Tones Musical Instruments is generously donating $5 from every sale towards the each LCMT kit

If you are a music therapist or would like to know more about how to access the kits for your service please contact us.

Our grant program and other funded activities

Since its inception LCF has granted fund to support children and families in paediatric palliative care and most recently launched a national program to support music therapy programs for children in palliative settings. In addition to the LCMT program, our previous grants include:

  • In December 2018 LCF  provided a $10,000 grant to Very Special Kids. The funds will be used to support onsite family accommodation for families whose children are utilising respite or end of life care.
  • In 2017 LCF donated $1000 to Rainbow Place Hospice in New Zealand for patient care.
  • In 2020 we developed and funded the LCF Music Therapy Care Program, designed to train health care workers and volunteers in palliative care to incorporate elements of music therapy into their daily care of children including a $15,000 grant for materials and program design.
  • In November we launched our flagship national program, The Lily Calvert Music Therapy Kits, in partnership with Tiny Tones Musical Instruments, delivering Music Therapy Kits national wide across hospitals including The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Monash Children’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital, Bear Cottage Hospice, and Very Special Kids Hospice.  The launch and initial roll out has been funded in whole by Tiny Tones Musical Instruments and their generous supporters.

Our programs and grants are made possible by our community partners and donations received from the general public. We are grateful for our local businesses who provide ongoing donations and support.
